Hey Felicia! Well, this is the first time I’ve gone away for more than a month, so I’m just hoping I’ve covered all the bases.

I’m staying in a combination of guest houses (UK), co-living/working spaces (Spain), and visiting friends (Portugal, Belgium), which will get me through the end of the year. I just left San Diego, and I’ve paid two months of UK lodging for a month’s worth of San Diego rent. So I think it’s doable.

I looked at airbnb’s and they were about the same price, but I’ve had bad experiences with them here in the US, and great experiences with guesthouses in the UK.

I sold stuff, put stuff in storage, found a temp family for my dog (my millennial children love him but they work 90 hours a week), left my car with my GenZ child, set up online banking, etc. All I need is wifi to survive.

I’m carrying my backpack and one small roller bag, my laptop and cell, and … that’s pretty much it :-).

Hope that helps! Email me if you wanna chat kaybolden.writer@gmail.com
