James, as a former Catholic myself, I know the mental gymnastics necessary to split hairs between “you are depraved” and “you’re doing depraved things but we ‘love’ you despite your depravity”. But I don’t expect much else from an organization that spent centuries justifying and abetting colonization, slavery and genocide.

Show me where Jesus said gay people are “depraved”.

Oh, that’s right. He didn’t.
