Love this story so much! I, too, was a skeptical child :-) but as a parent, I went all in — we made reindeer food (with glitter, cuz the reindeers need it to fly) and left it in the snow; jingle bells under the kids’ windows at 3am; letters from Santa arriving in the mail; tracking Santa online on that magical night (oh he’s in Australia already!). It was way more fun as a grown-up. Merry Christmas Dan … your parents knew what they were doing, both with The Lie and with the truth.
