There is most assuredly a coastal route from Porto, my friend. I walked it for several days before turning inland. Google it, maybe? I’ve got pictures too!

After crossing into Tui, there are dozens of places to stop. You can stop wherever you like :-). I stopped in Porrino the next night — not a usual stop for most pilgrims, but I had my reasons. No, Valenca is not on the Atlantic coast, but on the River Minho … which is what I said.

I don’t know who orders bottles of white port, except silly tourists, maybe. God knows I drank enough of it. He was carrying the Bushmills, which was hilarious. Of course, I met people carrying all kinds of crazy stuff, including a hibachi, and a 3-pound Yorkie (not to be used together, hopefully).

Surely you know everyone walks their own Caminho. ♥

Thanks for reading.
