Yes to all of this James Finn and Marley K.. I’m getting push back right now on this piece in Our Human Family — the whole “you’re alienating potential allies with your rhetoric” narrative. It’s nonsense. If my allies’ support of my equality is conditional upon my speaking, writing and behaving in ways that meet their approval — if they’re setting the boundaries I’m not supposed to cross — well then, they’re not allies to begin with.

Besides, we don’t need allies. We need accomplices. We need co-conspirators :-).
